The Medicine Pathways for Advancing Tribal Healthcare (M-PATH) program supports 8 motivated students interested in Indigenous health disparities currently enrolled in college or university on their journey to becoming physicians. Designed as a long-term investment in a community-driven healthcare workforce, the program offers mentorship, clinical shadowing exposure, and support to students from a wide range of backgrounds. The program covers the costs for student travel, transportation, lodging, and food during the Boston based 3-week summer enrichment portion of the program. If successful, the program can continue to be a part of the solution to addressing healthcare disparities facing Indigenous and rural communities for years to come.
